Danish Gallup Omnibus Data, 1983 comprises 22 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1983. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The present survey is a year file based on all the surveys. # #The questions common to all 1983 omnibuses are: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the household, number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status, public or private employment and income; education, occupational status and public or private employment of the head of the household; gross household income; the housewife's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization; whether the respondent has smoked various forms of tobacco on the day before the interview; the respondent's newspaper reading habits; habits as regards weeklies, monthlies, magazines, etc.; the respondent's last cinema visit; use of bus/coach and (as regards respondents in Zealand) S-train, etc.; the respondent's source of information concerning the purchase of convenience goods and municipal information; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election and which party the respondent would vote for at a general election on the day after the interview. # #The special questions deal with such issues as: # #Omnibus no. 01 (DDA-1142): #Use of various means of transport (passenger car, taxi, bicycle, motorbicycle);
