Marine geologic data were collected from the northwestern Weddell Sea
during cruise 2000-03 of the Nathaniel B. Palmer (see
"http://www.hamilton.edu/news/antarctic2000/default.html"). Data set
includes:
-sediment cores of the upper 3 meters of seafloor, surface grabs
-oceanographic profiles of temperature, salinity, and
transmissivity,
-bottom photographs,
-bottom video
-biologic dredges
-underway temperature, salinity, transmissivity, fluorometry, and
PCO2,
-acoustic doppler current profiles,
-CHIRP high resolution and GIG single channel seismic reflection
profiles; and
-swath (seabeam) bathymetric maps.
Regions of coverage include the fomer area of the Larsen A Ice Shelf
and the Prince Gustav Channel in the northeastern offshore of the
Antarctic Penninsula (northwestern Weddell Sea).
Data were collected from 10 May to June 1st, 2000, cruise report is
available from Hamilton College (see Data Center address).
