Dataset and code for Evaluating Perceived Spatial Permeability in University Museum Entrance Interfaces

This dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Evaluating Perceived Spatial Permeability in University Museum Entrance Interfaces: A Public-Calibrated Image-Based Assessment”. The archive contains case metadata, image source metadata, aggregated public benchmark ratings, MLLM-assisted perceived spatial permeability (PSP) scores, case-level PSP results, building-interface type coding, scoring prompts, analysis scripts, and supplementary documentation. The study evaluates perceived spatial permeability in university museum entrance interfaces through four dimensions: Entrance Legibility, Interface Openness, Threshold Friendliness, and Public Invitation. The dataset covers 146 university museum cases and 438 multi-source image records. A public benchmark subset of 90 cases and 180 images was used to validate a fixed MLLM-assisted scoring workflow before the workflow was applied to the full image dataset. Important copyright note: this archive does not include original case images collected from museum websites, Google Maps, Google Images, street-view services, or other third-party sources. It only provides image metadata, source URLs, aggregated ratings, MLLM-assisted scores, prompts, scripts, and documentation created for the study. Users should consult the original image sources for any reuse of third-party images.
