Number of primary health care clinics in Sweden 2009-2020, by ownership

The number of public owned primary health care clinics in Sweden generally decreased during the period from 2009 to 2020. The number of private owned clinics increased steadily until 2011, where it peaked at 497 private units, but then decreased slowly growing again until 2014. In 2020, there were 655 public and 515 private owned primary health care clinics in Sweden.
