Identification and evolutionary relationship of the two Gladiolus species based on comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes, DNA Barcodes, and ITS2 exploration

The diverse species of Gladiolus plants are rich, colorful flowers and perennial herbs in the Iridaceae family. To enhance our understanding of appearance and genetic background, the chloroplast genomes and ITS2 DNA sequences of Gladiolus× gandavensis was newly sequenced, filtered, assembled, annotated, and corrected for comparison with the species G. communis.
