L'atto scrittorio come azione rituale nei santuari costieri del Basso Adriatico

This proposal aims to present the research conducted on a unique series of sacred contexts that characterize the coasts of the southern Adriatic, particularly Puglia, Italy. These sites, which have been the subject of recent interdisciplinary investigations, exhibit striking topographical and religious similarities, suggesting a shared foundation of cultic practices that have played a significant role in the region's history. A distinguishing feature of these contexts is the emphasis placed on writing, manifested in various forms such as rock inscriptions, graffiti, and votive tablets. The extended period of human presence at these sites allows for a broader examination of the evolution of cultic practices.
