Evidence for Three Subpopulations of Merging Binary Black Holes at Different Primary Masses
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the code and the output data associated with Evidence for Three Subpopulations of Merging Binary Black Holes at Different Primary Masses. In this paper, we show that the GWTC-4.0 data release by the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration strongly supports the possibility of three subpopulations of binary black holes. These subpopulations have different mass-ratio and spin distributions. The dataset contains the codebase used for the analysis as well as the final popsummary file. The code is designed to run with the corresponding parameter estimation data release and cumulative search sensitivities of the LIGOThe results of the main analysis in the paper are provided as a popsummary file, which is standardized file format for population analysis by the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration. The file contains posterior distributions for individual hyperparameters of the model, as well as population predictive distributions of all parameters included as `rates_on_grids` fields. The popsummary package can be installed via pip `pip install popsummary`or conda `conda install -c conda-forge popsummary `For more information see the associated gitlab page
