Antenatal Care Client Experience of Care for Laos Maternal Child Health and Nutrition Project

This study examines women’s experiences with person-centered care during antenatal visits at public health facilities in Laos. It explores how respectful, responsive, and supportive care is delivered from the client’s perspective and identifies key sociodemographic factors that influence these experiences. The findings provide insight into the quality of antenatal care beyond clinical services, highlighting the importance of communication, dignity, and cultural sensitivity in improving maternal health outcomes.
