Dataset of Land-Based Projects Registered under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme (2001–November 2025)

This dataset comprises secondary data derived from land-based carbon projects registered under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme. Publicly available information was extracted from the official project registry administered by the Clean Energy Regulator for all land-based projects registered up to November 2025. The dataset includes project descriptions, approved methodologies, geographic locations, identified project proponents and agents, volumes of ACCUs issued, and other key project characteristics. The data were processed to identify and systematically classify project proponents and agents into stakeholder categories. Classification was conducted using publicly available industry registers and provider lists.
