Behavioral, Self-report, Neurophysiological and Eye-tracking datasets

This dataset originates from a multimodal experimental study conducted at IULM University (Milan, Italy), investigating the effects of multisensory nudging on food decision-making among university students. A total of 88 participants (75% female; aged 19–31) voluntarily took part in this controlled laboratory-based research, which aimed to simulate real-life snack choices in a university vending machine context. Participants were randomly assigned to one of four conditions: Neutral, Visual (nature-themed image), Olfactory (jasmine scent), or Visual + Olfactory.The study employed a combination of behavioral, eye-tracking, and neurophysiological measures (EEG, skin conductance) to evaluate attention, choice behavior, and cognitive and emotional processing. All recordings were synchronized and collected during a realistic lab simulation involving interaction with a vending machine replica.Data were collected from September to December 2024, are anonymized, and shared in compliance with IRB approval and GDPR standards.
