The right tail of the distribution of vectors (larvae and nymphae) on hosts (mice and lizards) is described by a power-law distribution. For each dataset we report: the MLE estimate of the value of above which the data are well described by a power-law; the MLE estimate of the power-law exponent; the P-value of the goodness-of-fit test for the power-law; the MLE estimate of the size of the negative binomial distribution; the P-value of the goodness-of-fit test for the negative binomial; the -statistic and the P-value of the Vuong test comparing the two distributions.
