Distribution of building heating consumption in Finland 2017, by energy source

This statistic shows the distribution of used or purchased energy for heating of residential, commercial, and public buildings in Finland in 2017, by energy source. During that year, the largest energy source for building heating was small scale combustion of wood with nearly 56.5 thousand terajoules of energy, followed by ambient energy with approximately 22.5 thousand terajoules. The smallest energy source for heating of residential, commercial, and public buildings was coal with nine terajoules.
