The text is an attempt to look at the term “mass” from the perspective of naturalistic sociological theories, which dominated the exploitation space of Social Sciences in the second half of 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The attempts to neutralize “ the social element” in works by G. Le Bona, G. Tarde and H. Taine have often been criticized, which many seem to forget, by Polish philosophers and sociologists of the 20th century.The critique was based mostly on deconstruction of biological interpretations of social life with humanistic conceptual instruments.
