Monopterus albus Genome and Annotation

We report a telomere-to-telomere (T2T) of Monopterus albus, an economically important freshwater fish species with a unique sexual reversal trait, which renders it of great research value in developmental biology, aquaculture and evolutionary studies. HiFi, ONT ultra-long and Hi-C sequencing data were used to generate gap-free chromosome-level with complete telomere coverage. This assembly provides a valuable genomic resource for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying sexual reversal in Monopterus albus, conducting molecular breeding, and carrying out comparative genomics research.
