POLYETHER SULFONE FIBER， METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME， AND NON-WOVEN FABRIC AND PAPER COMPRISING THE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyether sulfone fiber suitable for producing a non-woven fabric and paper， and to provide a non-woven fabric and paper having excellent heat resistance. SOLUTION: A polyether sulfone fiber composed of the repeating unit of a structure shown by equation (1) has a weight average molecular weight of 80，000 to 130，000 and has a single fiber fineness of 0.005 to 10 dtex. A method for producing a polyether sulfone fiber comprises a process where polyether sulfone composed of the repeating unit of a structure shown by equation (1) and having the average weight molecular weight of 80，000 to 130，000 is dissolved into an organic solvent， the dope in which the concentration of polyether sulfone is 10 to 30 mass% is discharged from a discharge hole into a coagulating bath including an organic solvent， and wet heat drawing is performed at 1.05 to 3 times. In a non-woven fabric and paper， the content of polyether sulfone fibers having a single fiber fineness of 0.005 to 10 dtex is 3 mass% or higher. SELECTED DRAWING: None
