Judgement on parties and politicians. Political attitudes.

Topics: judgement on current economic situation in the Federal
Republic and economic development of personal household; political
interest; trust in selected sources of information about political
events; party preference (ballot procedure); importance of areas of
life; psychological characterization of personal situation in life at
home; person to confide in; general contentment with life; judgement on
the conditions in the Federal Republic and most important political
tasks; satisfaction with the Federal Government, opposition and
democracy in the Federal Republic; self-classification on a left-right
continuum; issue relevance and issue ability of the parties; behavior
at the polls in the last Federal Parliament election and personal
change in party voted for since 1949; judgement on equal rights for men
and women in the Federal Republic as well as in the area of one´s own
family and occupation; significance of family for a fulfilled life;
attitude to marriage; ideal number of children; division of labor in
household; satisfaction with division of labor in household;
characteristics of a desirable society; behavior at the polls in the
last state parliament election; party preference at the state level
(Sunday question); attitude to one party remaining in government
responsibility for a long time (at federal as well as state level);
general agreement of one´s own political opinions with selected
politicians and parties; postmaterialism index; judgement on freedom
and development possibilities in the Federal Republic; attitude to use
of nuclear power plants; attitude to a possible coalition change of the
FDP; party inclination and party identification.

In Bavaria beyond the federal part the following additional questions
were posed: comparison of Bavaria with the other states; satisfaction
with housing in Bavaria; satisfaction with the solution of political
tasks in the state; agreement of one´s own political opinions with the
top politicians and the CDU/CSU in Bavaria; particular advantages and
disadvantages of the state of Bavaria and the people living there
(scale); assessment of the vote ratio in one´s residential area;
attitude to the Green List (scale).

In Hesse beyond the federal part the following additional questions
were posed: general agreement of one´s own political opinions with the
top politicians and parties in Hesse; satisfaction with the state
government and state opposition; judgement on general mood in Hesse;
voting intent in the next state parliament election; assumed election
winner and preferred coalition partner for the FDP; perceived influence
of the state parliament election result on the Federal Government;
federal and municipal political aspects in personal voting decision
(Sunday question); judgement on election slogans (rank order procedure)
and assignment to the parties.
