EPIC Gain comma contamination and CTI monitoring-1ES0102

CAL The AXAF standard cable source, 1ES010272 in the SMC region will beobserved periodically. The strong emission lines at low energies will bemeasured to determine the CCD gain and CTI at the boresight location. In addition, apparent secular changes in various emission line strengths may be used to track contamination buildup. EPIC observes for 10ks in each ofTHINand MEDIUM filter to make a comparison. Given overheads this implies asingle 24ks RGS exposure.
