<span style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'>To raise awareness of the benefits of conservation agriculture for restoring the productive capacity of soil. The ploughing and overuse of agricultural lands causes the productive capacity of soil to be eroded over time posing great risks for food security. The use of conservation agriculture is picking up momentum among land owners and by making it visible (the projects, the research) through this layer and an interface for the public ASSET hopes to encourage its uptake. </span><div style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'><br /></div><div style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'><div style='font-family:inherit;'><a href='https://assetresearch.org.za/' rel='nofollow ugc' style='color:rgb(0, 121, 193); text-decoration-line:none; font-family:inherit;' target='_blank'>ASSET Research</a> is committed to the development of capacity within the field of environmental and natural resource economics and related fields including the economics of restoration. We do this through research programmes that engage both junior and senior researchers alike from various disciplines and institutions. We rally our teams' research efforts around real-life challenges and thereby providing innovative and context-specific yet research-driven science-based options with respect to ways and means to answer those challenges. Being a research and capacity organisation and an NGO/PBO, ASSET Research is not constrained by formal, institutional or subject-disciplinary borders. This allows for the twinning of researchers and disciplines across many conventional divides.</div><div style='font-family:inherit;'><br /></div><div style='font-family:inherit;'>Restoration, in addition to being a science, a business and a process involving a series of interwoven activities and ecosystem trajectories on a continuum of uncertainty, is also a narrative cast in a set of intentional interventions. It is thus a social-ecological dialogue with ourselves in an ecological as well as a socio-economic space. Only when we look in the mirror, face the brutal reality of degradation, impairment and decline, and start to catalyse change towards societies, ecosystems and a planet in repair, then restoration, and a restoration culture may become the narrative, the vision and the paradigm leading to a new, revitalised and regenerative future.</div></div>
