Early VLE Activity and Final Course Results: OULAD Data Documentation

This deposit contains an English README, an eight-variable derivative CSV, a data dictionary, a reproducible Python transformation script, processing checks, attribution, and a PDF submission copy. The derivative is based entirely on the real, anonymised Open University Learning Analytics Dataset (OULAD), originally created by Jakub Kuzilek, Martin Hlosta, and Zdenek Zdrahal and downloaded from the UCI Machine Learning Repository (source dataset DOI: 10.24432/C5KK69). The derivative joins studentInfo.csv and studentRegistration.csv on module, presentation, and student identifiers, then aggregates studentVle.csv interactions during course days 0-27 inclusive. It contains 32,593 enrollment records, 28,785 distinct anonymised student IDs, and 22 module presentations. Source '?' markers for unavailable registration dates are represented by blank cells; zero early clicks are valid derived counts, not missing values. DDI-Codebook 2.6 concepts guide the human-readable documentation; the project is not a validated DDI XML record. The package supports descriptive, observational learning-analytics work and does not report a causal result. It is distributed under CC BY 4.0 with attribution to the original OULAD creators and a clear description of the transformations.
