资源简介:
In our previous studies on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) –associated microbiota, we identified a phylotype named Ct85, which was more abundant in the feces of healthy subjects and patients with mixed type IBS (IBS-M) than in the fecal samples of patients with diarrhea-type IBS (IBS-D). In the current project, we study the heterogeneity of the 16S rDNA sequences of Ct85 and define subtypes within this phylotype, each distinguishable by specific PCR primers. IBS study cohorts are explored to find associations between the presence or absence of particular Ct85 subtypes in the feces and the healthiness or the IBS symptom type of the study subjects.
