FK506 is an immunosuppressive and antimicrobial compound produced by Streptomyces that inhibits the protein phosphatase calcineurin. In Aspergillus fumigatus, inhibiting calcineurin impairs a host of processes including development and morphology of conidia, hyphal extension, branching, septation and polarized growth, and cell wall composition. This Bioproject contains raw DNA-seq data from a collection of spontaneous FK506-resistant isolates in the A1163 background.
