Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) Large Angle and Spectrometic Coronagraph (LASCO) Instrument Images of Kreutz Family Sungrazing Comets

This data set contains images of Kreutz sungrazing comets that were obtained by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft from 1996-2005. Images have been processed by subtracting a bias, correcting for vignetting, and normalizing by the exposure time. A median of four neighboring images is then subtracted to remove the background. The resulting image has units of data number (DN) per second. A 41x41 pixel array centered on the comet has been extracted for archiving.
