Pleomorphic lung cancer is a rare disease accounting for 0.3% of all cancers. It has a poor prognosis due to post-operative recurrence and metastasis. However, due to the rarity of pleomorphic carcinoma, the molecular genetics of the disease is not well understood and the relationship between cancer-related genes and pleomorphic carcinoma is unclear. These will be clarified, leading to the identification of factors associated with therapeutic efficacy in lung pleomorphic carcinoma. Mutations were examined for 50 cancer-related factors using the AmpliSeq for illumine cancer HotSpot Panel v2.
