Urothelial carcinoma in situ (CIS) of the urinary bladder - somatic custom panel NGS data (Garczyk et al.)

Laser-capture microdissection (LCM) was applied to precisely isolate 30 samples (25 CIS and 5 smooth muscle control specimens) from 26 fresh frozen cystectomy specimens. Subsequently, targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) of 31 genes was performed, using a dual strand sequencing protocol. The gene panel comprised genes frequently affected in MIBC of non-papillary origin, with a focus on potentially actionable GAs described to predict response to approved targeted therapies or drugs that are in registered clinical trials.
