Share of population owning a mobile phone in Indonesia 2014-2023

In 2023, approximately 67.29 percent of the Indonesian population owned and used a mobile phone. The highest share was found in Jakarta, where over 82 percent of the population had one. However, on the contrary, only about 38 percent of the population in Papua owned a mobile phone.
