Dataset of long-term time-series remote sensing inversion products for typical water body color and water quality. This dataset covers water body color and water quality indicator products (including chlorophyll content, transparency, and water body color) for large lakes and reservoirs in key global regions, namely Lake Taihu, Qinghai Lake, Guanting Reservoir, and the entire territory of Sri Lanka. Specifically, the dataset includes: chlorophyll data of Lake Taihu from 2003 to 2012 (10 years), transparency data of Lake Taihu from 1984 to 2019 (36 years), water body color data of Qinghai Lake from 2000 to 2020 (21 years), chlorophyll data of Guanting Reservoir from 1985 to 2019 (35 years), and transparency data of Sri Lanka from 2013 to 2020 (8 years).
