资源简介:
Photograph of wisteria trees covering the corner and sides of a house, Pasadena, ca.1920. The corner of the three-story house is almost completely covered with blossoms and leaves from the wisteria trees. Rails and the posts that make up the corner arcade of the house are partially visible.; "The deciduous trees or large shrubs are native to China and Japan. P. hispida, commonly known as the Epaulette Tree or Wisteria Tree, can be grown as a bush with a height of up to 12 feet or a tree, growing up to 50 feet high. The Epaulette Tree is covered in oblong leaves up to 8 inches in length. These trees begin to blossom when they are 8 to 10 feet high. In early summer, fragrant, creamy white flowers are borne in suspended clusters 4 to 9 inches long. These are followed by fuzzy seedpods that persist on the branches well into the winter." -- unknown author.
