Phylogenetic, biogeographic, and population genetic analyses of the radiation of Hibiscus section Lilibiscus in the Mascarene archipelago. Sampling also included outgroup species from Madagascar, Fiji, and Hawaii. The goals of the study were to assess the monophyly of species concepts, test evolutionary and biogeographic hypotheses, and assess hybridization and other population genetic patterns.
