(WFS) Brand geese: Occurrence and mouse stock in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (LKN.SH -NPV)

Download geoservice for the occurrence of masturbating fire geese in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (Layer 1: Brandgans monitoring for mouse time; Layer 2: Maximum mouse stock, explanation see below). Fire geese are incapable of flying in summer for a few weeks and are therefore particularly prone to disturbance during the mouse season. The Brandgans monitoring takes place with 3 detection flights during this mouse period in the months of July — September and provides information on the spatial and temporal distribution of the fire geese. The importance and change of the most important mouse areas can be estimated and evaluated with regard to potential sources of interference. Estimates of stock sizes can also be derived from the data. In addition, a distinction can be made in the data between flightable and non-flightable fire geese. This service provides two layers: 1. Occurrences at the time of mouse: the table contains the data from 2010 on all three monitoring flights of a straight year (i.e. 2010, 2012, etc.), so that the variability of the mouse occurrence can be mapped (UIG relevant). 2. Maximum mouse stock per year: From the data of the straight years from 2010 onwards, only the flight of a year in which the highest number of incense geese was sighted. The maximum occurrence data is used to estimate the inventory of fire geese (one flight per year). Both tables can be downloaded as csv table or shape-file or integrated as WFS into a GIS.
