The Effects of Self-Other Overlap and Group Efficacy on Group-based Anger and Collective Action Tendency: An Online Experimental Study

1、 Data generation program, data processing methods and steps, equipment and tools used, etc.This study used the Credamo smart research platform on the PC side, adopting data quality control functions such as the historical adoption rate of designated subjects, filtering designated participants who had answered similar questionnaires before, and intelligent behavioral verification, and conducted situational experiments nationwide in the way of complete random sampling. After the experiment was completed, the data was exported to XLSX format after preliminary screening by indicators such as attention-check questions and response time. Then another round of data quality screening was performed based on indicators such as the internal consistency among oral statements to obtain the final valid data. Then the data in the text form was coded as numbers, and finally all valid data was imported into SPSS23.0 to generate the data source.2、 Time and geographical scope of dataTime: from August 14 to September 20, 2022; Geographic scope: data was obtained nationwide through the Credamo smart research platform.3、 Tabular data: describes the total number of data entries, the meaning of row and column headings, and the measurement unitThere are 6 documents of data, including 3 documents in XLSX format and 3 documents in SAV format.The XLSX file contains one original table data: the line header shows the item content of the situational experiment, and the column header shows the subject number. A total of 336 experimental data are included in the three XLSX files, of which 90 experimental data are in Study 1,83 experimental data are in Study 2, and 177 experimental data are in Study 3. Among them, 3 pieces of data in Study 1, 2 pieces of data in Study 2, and 12 pieces of data in Study 3 were marked with yellow background and removed from further analysis due to erroneous statement about the anger object and poor consistency of their attitudes in the multiple-choice questions. The SAV file contains the encoded data: the line header shows the abbreviation of the item, and the column header shows the group to which the subject belongs. A total of 319 validated experimental data are included in the three SAV files, of which 87 experimental data are included in Study 1, 81 experimental data are included in Study 2, and 165 experimental data are included in Study 3. Abbreviation: SOO for self-other overlap, GA for group-based anger, CAT for collective action tendency, GE for group efficacy.
