The aim of this proposal is to determine the density of model H2O-CO2 and H2O-CO2-NaCl fluids (10-20 wt% CO2, 10-20 wt% NaCl) at P-T conditions relevant for the formation of ore deposits in the Earth’s crust, up to 500 °C and 1.5 kbar. The measurements will be conducted in the FAME autoclave using the X-ray absorption technique. The new data will be implemented in accurate equations of state PVTx that will allow the development of quantitative models for the mobility, transport and precipitation of metals in the crust.
