Time-series transcriptome analysis of Brachypodium accessions after inoculation with Rhizoctonia solani. Brachypodium distachyon

We performed time-series transcriptome analysis of three Brachypodium distachyon accessions, Bd21, Bd3-1, and Tek-3, after inoculation with the sheath blight fungus Rhizoctonia solani. We sampled R. solani-inoculated leaves from these accessions at five time points including 0, 4, 8, 16, and 24 hours post inoculation (hpi) with three biological replicates. Total RNA was extracted from the leaves using the Nucleospin RNA Plant kit (Takara Bio). Library preparation was performed using the Truseq RNA library preparation kit (Illumina) according to the manufacturer's instructions, and the prepared libraries were sequenced with the Hiseq4000 sequencer (Illumina).
