African green monkey kidney-derived Vero cells were infected with simian virus 40 (SV40) strain 776 (GenBank accession number: AF316139.1) at a multiplicity of infection (MOI) of 5. After 72 h post-infection, the cells were harvested and total RNA was isolated using Trizol. rRNA-depleted RNA library was constructed and sequenced on an Illumina Hiseq 4000 platform (LC Sciences, Hangzhou, China) and 2×150 bp (PE150) paired-end reads were generated according to Illumina’s standardard protocol. Three independent biological replicates for mock-infected and infected samples were analysed.
