This dataset accompanies the manuscript titled "The Impact of Enterprise Scale on Private Entrepreneurs' Satisfaction with Government Policy Support—A Perspective Based on Generational Succession". It contains the raw data necessary to reproduce the main analyses reported in the study. Study Overview: This study examines the impact of firm size on private entrepreneurs' satisfaction with government policy support, using perceived business risk as a mediator and intergenerational succession as a moderator. Key Variables "ID" : Anonymous participant ID (1, 2, 3...)."age": Participants aged 25 or below were coded as “1”, those aged 26-35 were coded as “ 2”, and those aged 36-45 were coded as “3”."gender": Females were coded as “0” and males as “1”."education level":The education level was coded as follows: 1 = high school or below, 2 = associate degree, 3 = bachelor's degree, 4 = master's degree, and 5 = doctoral degree. "Degree of Perceived Business Risk":The five options were: 1 = "No risk", 2 = "Low risk", 3 = "Medium risk", 4 = "High risk", and 5 = "Very high risk""Enterprise Scale": The quantitative standard was coded as follows: 1 = CNY 1 million or below, 2 = CNY 1.01-5 million, 3 = CNY 5.01-10 million, 4 = CNY 10.01-50 million, and 5 = above CNY 50 million."Satisfaction with Government Support": The five response options were: 1 = "Very Dissatisfied", 2 = "Somewhat Dissatisfied", 3 = "Neutral", 4 = "Somewhat Satisfied", and 5 = "Very Satisfied". “Degree of Policy Expectation”:Set five options:"Not Expecting,”"Not Very Expecting,""Neutral," " Quite Expecting," and " Very Expecting," assigned values of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 respectively. Higher scores indicate greater expectations among private entrepreneurs regarding government policies. “Type of Enterprise(Entrepreneurial Succession)”:Startup enterprises are assigned a value of 0, while succession enterprises are assigned a value of 1. “Profitability Level”:Set five options: “Loss,” “Break-even,” “Slight Profit,” “Good Profit,” and “Substantial Profit,” assigned values of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 respectively. Higher scores indicate greater profitability for private enterprises. “Main Business of Enterprise (Heterogeneity)”:The primary industry is assigned a value of 1; the secondary industry is assigned a value of 2; the tertiary industry is assigned a value of 3. “Whether the Enterprise is Above-Scale (Robustness Check)”:Enterprises classified as above-scale are assigned a value of 1; enterprises not classified as above-scale are assigned a value of 0. How to Use:The dataset can be directly imported into Stata for analysis. Key analytical methods include ordered logit regression, tests for the mediating effect of entrepreneurs' perceived business risk, and analysis of the moderating effect of intergenerational succession.
