2025 OCP Riparian Protection Bylaw 9525

Riparian areas are areas of land and vegetation adjacent to watercourses that provides a range of important functions, including fish and wildlife habitat, erosion and sediment control, flood protection, and overall stream bank stability. Riparian areas need to remain in an undisturbed state in order to provide these functions.河岸带（Riparian areas）指毗邻水道（watercourses）的土地与植被覆盖区域，具备多项关键生态功能：可为鱼类与野生生物提供栖息地、开展侵蚀与泥沙管控、提供防洪防护，同时维持整体河岸稳定性。为充分发挥上述功能，河岸带需保持未受扰动的原生状态。
