Transcriptomics not only provides insights into the mechanisms of chemical toxicity but also serves a powerful tool for predicting the potential adverse effects of chemical substances. In this study, we utilized a Transcriptomics-Guided Outcome Prediction (T-GOP) framework to systematically evaluate the ecotoxicological effects of chemical exposures, using the PFOS alternative sodium p-perfluorous nonenoxybenzene sulfonate (OBS) as a case study.Expose zebrafish to the environmental relevant concentrations (0.1,1.0, and 10 ug/L) for 28 days. Transcriptomic analysis predicted disruption of neurotransmitter pathways, which was confirmed by targeted metabolomics, revealing profound alterations in dopaminergic and serotonergic systems.
