Topics: optimism about the future of the EU; main strengths of the EU; embodiment of selected values by the EU compared to other countries: respect for nature and the environment, social equality and welfare, peace, progress and innovation, respect for fundamental rights and values, tolerance and openness, respect for history, solidarity with countries within and outside the EU, freedom of speech and expression, representation of citizens’ economic and trade interests in the world; main challenges for the EU; main global challenges for the future of the EU; fields of action to be prioritized by the EU; own country benefits from EU membership; attitude towards the following statements: EU should take action to help EU industries to become more competitive and decarbonise, EU should take action to support fairness across social groups and generations; attitude towards the following statements: member states can achieve better outcomes in trade negotiations and economic partnerships by working together at the EU level rather than acting on their own, EU should diversify its trade relations with countries all over the world to strengthen its economic independence and support EU businesses while ensuring all trade partners adhere to EU standards; satisfaction with democracy in the own country and in the EU; importance of the role of civil society in promoting and protecting democracy and common values; most serious threats to democracy in the EU; confidence in the strength of the EU’s democracy in the next five years; confidence in the performance of the EU’s economy in the next five years; concern about the EU’s security in the next five years.
