Whole-Genome Sequencing of Escherichia coli Isolated from Sewage Water

Escherichia coli O157:H7 was isolated from sewage water as part of an academic research project conducted by Hala Abbas. The study aims to investigate the genomic characteristics of environmental E. coli strains and to assess their genetic diversity and potential public health relevance.Genomic DNA was extracted from the isolate and subjected to whole-genome sequencing using Illumina paired-end technology. The resulting sequencing data were generated to support thesis-level experimental analysis, including genome characterization and comparative genomic investigation.This dataset contributes to environmental microbiology research and provides publicly accessible genomic data for future studies related to wastewater surveillance, bacterial evolution, and environmental public health monitoring.
