PoolSeq experiment examining genome-wide sequence variation into two pools of female individuals selected from the outbred Stoneville strain (source: Benzon Research). More than 100 female individuals from random matings were sorted by pigmentation phenotypes. The genomic DNAs from the 25 darkest individuals ("Dark") and 23 lightest individuals ("Plain") were mixed in equimolar ratios to form each pool before sequencing library preparation and NovaSeq 6000 PE150 sequencing.
