Muhammad Awwad Allah (from al-Walaja) interviewed by Marwa Khalifa on 28 June 2006. <br>He discusses the following: British rule in Palestine including the General Strike of 1936 and the three people who were famously executed - al-Jamjom, al-Zeer and Hijazi; anyone wearing the hata (kuffiyeh) would be arrested by the British during the Revolt of 1936-39. <br>Original audio recording: cassette tape. Transcript: summary. In the original collection at Bethlehem University this cassette tape was categpised as File 5 of Box 7. <br>This fileset exists as part of the Ottoman Empire and World War I collection within the Bethlehem University Oral History project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
