Sociodemographic, Academic, and Psychometric Dataset on Anxiety, Depression, and Academic Performance in High School Students

This dataset contains anonymized sociodemographic, academic, and psychometric information collected from high school students to support research on anxiety, depression, and their association with academic performance. The dataset includes participants' demographic characteristics, socioeconomic and family-related variables, academic information, lifestyle indicators, and responses to the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). It also incorporates derived variables generated during the data preparation process, including numerical coding of categorical variables, total psychometric scores, severity classifications for anxiety and depression, and standardized academic performance variables. Prior to analysis, the dataset underwent data cleaning, consistency verification, variable harmonization, and standardization of academic grades to ensure comparability among participants and facilitate statistical analyses. These preprocessing steps make the dataset suitable for descriptive, correlational, regression, and psychometric studies. The dataset was generated as part of a research project investigating the prevalence of anxiety and depression and their relationship with academic performance among adolescents. All records have been fully anonymized to preserve participant confidentiality, and no personally identifiable information is included.
