资源简介:
This dataset presents the varietal response of cowpea and yard-long bean to the invasive thrips species Thrips parvispinus (Karny) under field conditions. The study was conducted in Kerala, India, during the rabi and summer seasons (2022–2024). The dataset includes:
Varieties Tested: Kanakamony, Anaswara (Semi- trailing cowpea), Bhagyalakshmi, Kashi Kanchan (Bushy cowpea), Lola, Vyjayanthi, Vellayani Jyothika, Malika, Sharika, Gitika and Deepika (yard long bean)
Thrips Infestation Data: Mean thrips population per plant for each variety, Mean thrips population per flower for each variety, leaf damage score, flower damage score at different growth stages, flower bud abortion rate, number of peduncles with pods, per cent effective peduncles, recorded at different growth stages.
Damage Assessment: Flower damage scoring based on the Jackai and Singh (1988) damage scale.
Yield Data: number of peduncles with pods and per cent effective peduncles across tested varieties.
Pesticide-Free Management: No insecticides were applied to evaluate natural resistance.
Statistical Analysis: Mean comparisons using ANOVA, correlation between thrips population, damage scores, flower bud abortion rate, per cent effective peduncles, no of pods peduncles with pods recorded at different growth stages and resistance categorization of varieties, heritability data
File Formats
CSV (.csv) – raw data and processed data with statistical results.
Keywords
