Genomes of bacterial symbionts isolated from Physopelta gutta

Bacterial symbionts belonging to the genus Burkholderia sensu lato were isolated from the midgut of Physopelta gutta (Heteroptera: Pyrrhocoroidea: Largidae). We sequenced the genomes of the two symbiotic strains and compared the genomes with those of Burkholderia symbionts isolated from other stink bugs to understand the genetic basis of the stink bugs-Burkholderia symbiosis.
