Sports participation by adults in Japan 2002-2022, by frequency

According to a survey conducted in Japan between June and July of 2022, close to 73 percent of people stated that they participated in sports at least once a year. While the share of people who participated at least once per year did not change much during the past years, figures relating to the share of active sports participants reached an all time high in 2020.
