Minocycline-containing therapy in Helicobacter pylori infection A review article Supplementary Materials

Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection and its related diseases constitute a significant global public health issue. The growing antibiotic resistance of H. pyloriposes a serious challenge, making the search for sensitive, safe, economical, and readily available therapeutic drugs a core challenge in contemporary research. This study conducted a comprehensive systematic literature review using keyword searches, including terms such as minocycline (MIN) and H.pylori. Ultimately, 33 studies were selected for inclusion in the review. The analysis reveals that H. pylori demonstrates susceptibility to MIN Treatment regimens that incorporate MIN exhibit favorable efficacy, safety, and patient compliance in both first-line and rescue treatment. Commonly employed MIN-based eradication regimens encompass quadruple therapy, dual therapy, and combinations with traditional Chinese medicine or probiotics. Thus, MIN may be considered a viable antibiotic option for the eradication of H. pylori.
