Interview conducted by Ewa Bal and Yana Partola with Anna Korzeniowska-Bihun, within the Spoken Archive of Polish Ukrainian Theatre Cooperation. Anna Korzeniowska-Bihun has a PhD in Humanities, graduate of the Theatre Studies Department at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw (1997) and the Ukrainian Studies Department at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw (2004). Translator of Ukrainian literature and films in Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian and English. Lecturer in Polish as a foreign language. In 2023, a member of the jury for the Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński Award for Translation from the Mayor of Gdańsk. Translator and editor of two anthologies of Ukrainian drama in Polish, novels by Maria Matios, among others, and numerous Ukrainian films and television series.
Interview conducted at the Jagiellonian University as part of a research project funded by the National Science Centre No. 2024/53/B/HS2/02533 entitled Theatre as a laboratory for Polish-Ukrainian encounters from 2014 to the present day. Perspectives of compassionate thinking.
