MICROBIOME analysis on Mexican STEMI patients

This project aims to analyze the composition and functional characteristics of the gut microbiome in Mexican patients diagnosed with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we compare the microbial communities of STEMI patients to those of healthy individuals to identify microbial signatures potentially associated with cardiovascular risk. The study seeks to contribute to a better understanding of microbiome-host interactions in acute coronary syndromes, with a focus on the Mexican population.
