Pd3Zn is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pd is bonded to eight equivalent Pd and four equivalent Zn atoms to form distorted PdZn4Pd8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent PdZn4Pd8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent ZnPd12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent PdZn4Pd8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent ZnPd12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent PdZn4Pd8 cuboctahedra. All Pd–Pd bond lengths are 2.78 Å. All Pd–Zn bond lengths are 2.78 Å. Zn is bonded to twelve equivalent Pd atoms to form ZnPd12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent ZnPd12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent PdZn4Pd8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent ZnPd12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent PdZn4Pd8 cuboctahedra.
