This study aims to investigate whether high levels of Alexithymia and/or cognitive appraisal style can predict the frequency of cannabis use in recreational cannabis users. Furthermore, if there is a relationship, is it mediated by motives for use. In a pilot study run in our lab we found that levels of Alexithymia predicted cannabis use if it was consumed to cope or because it was available.
