Adapting to a shifting planet: The future of Drosera species amidst global challenges and conservation imperatives

This dataset supports the study “Adapting to a shifting planet: The future of *Drosera* species amidst global challenges and conservation imperatives” published in *Anthropocene*. It contains the standardized species-level data required to reproduce the ecological niche modeling and species distribution modeling workflow used to assess current and future habitat suitability for South American *Drosera* species. The dataset is organized by species and includes cleaned occurrence records, independent occurrence records for final model evaluation, precomputed occurrence splits when available, and selected environmental-variable folders used for model calibration. The associated GitHub repository contains the reproducible source code, documentation, metadata, validation notes, and generic KUENM/MaxEnt scripts used to run the workflow. The analyses are based on species distribution models calibrated with MaxEnt and the KUENM R package. The workflow includes occurrence processing, 75% / 25% calibration-testing splits, candidate model calibration, partial ROC and omission-rate evaluation, AICc-guided model selection, final model projection, distributional-change estimation, and extrapolation-risk assessment using MOP analyses.
